The Caritas Building at Whitefriars Catholic School stands as a symbol of innovative learning and spiritual growth, providing a dynamic environment for primary education within a faith-based community.

Collaborating with Detail Studio, PT Design played a critical role in delivering the Caritas Building at Whitefriars Catholic School—an innovative two-storey education facility designed to support the evolving needs of primary school students. The building’s architectural vision focuses on creating dynamic and engaging learning environments, incorporating multiple classrooms and generous breakout spaces that promote collaboration and flexibility.

PT Design applied thoughtful structural and civil engineering solutions to bring this vision to life. A large-scale raft footing system provided a stable base for the building, while external feature precast panel walls and structural cores ensured both aesthetic impact and structural resilience. Structural steel floor beams combined with a composite concrete slab created a robust yet adaptable internal framework, allowing for open, light-filled breakout zones. The integration of a steel-framed roof enabled wide, column-free areas, while a first-floor linkway seamlessly connects the new facility to the existing school infrastructure.

Located within the established grounds of Whitefriars Catholic School, the Caritas Building exemplifies PT Design’s ability to deliver practical, forward-thinking engineering outcomes that support educational innovation. This project underscores the firm’s commitment to enhancing learning environments through technical precision and design collaboration.
