Banksia Apartments

Collaborating with Cedar Woods and Hames Sharley Architects, PT Design contributed innovative engineering solutions to this project, which is set within Glenside’s master-planned community. The building’s design emphasizes seamless indoor-outdoor living spaces, complemented by double-glazed windows and energy-efficient materials that achieve a 7.5-Star NatHERS rating.

PT Design’s structural expertise ensured the building’s stability and longevity through the use of CFA piles and piled retention systems for the single-level basement car parking. Reinforced concrete band beams supported by columns created a robust ground-floor podium that anchors the structure. Precast concrete cores and shear walls provide lateral stability across all levels, while structural steel beams support composite concrete slabs and prefabricated floor panels for added efficiency.

Surrounded by leafy parklands and located near schools, shopping precincts, and public transport, Banksia Apartments offers residents a perfect blend of convenience and tranquility. PT Design’s contributions to this project demonstrate its commitment to creating sustainable residential developments that enhance community living while minimizing environmental impact.
